Since 1911 is the tribute that Pescaderías Coruñesas has wanted to pay to the family legacy, based on the pursuit of excellence and a deep respect for the sea, and to those generations of fishmongers who, with hard work and experience, managed to make Madrid the capital of fresh fish and seafood in Spain. Since 1911 could not be understood without the figures of María Juliana Azpíroz and Evaristo García, both belonging to families with a great tradition in the most artisanal fishing tasks, and their children, the fourth – and proud – generation of Maragato fishmongers and muleteers. After more than a decade at the helm of the family business, the García Azpírozes fulfilled their dream of opening Since 1911, thus honoring the passion that their father, Evaristo García, always felt for restaurants.

Thanks to the immense work and development of these trades, Madrid has become the meeting point for the finest seafood from the various coastal ports. A process that began with the long, fifteen-day journeys that the Maragato muleteers traveled to Madrid accompanied by their oxen and mules, and which now allows us to find products on the table that were caught less than twenty-four hours ago. Therefore, with the creation of Desde 1911, the dream of creating a fish and seafood restaurant in Madrid has been fulfilled, with its menu modified every day based on the best available products, thus defying all limits of space and time. This goes to show that Madrid continues to be the best seaport on the Iberian Peninsula.

Inspired by Nordic design and decor, the restaurant features three distinct spaces: the dining room, overlooking the kitchen through a large window; the central courtyard, open and landscaped with leafy deciduous trees, a source of light and a setting for appetizers and after-dinner conversation; and the private patio.

The menu at Desde 1911 is the ultimate expression of the day's seafood. Therefore, it is reinvented and evolved every day, completely changing based on the day's catch, fresh from our shores, and the best seasonal produce. Every day, the Desde 1911 team meets and decides on the products and dishes that will be served in the restaurant, offering a unique and unrepeatable gastronomic experience. To enjoy this menu, diners will find six starters, from which they can choose three, four, five, or six, depending on the menu chosen, a single fish as the main course, which will be the best of those that arrived that day at Pescaderías Coruñesas, and the experience will conclude with a cheese and dessert board:

Thus, in the red section, you can find vertical wines and old vintages from the winery, which ensure traceability and the guarantee of no racking. In the international section, champagnes, white wines, and old vintages that could not be missing from a concept like Desde 1911.
